Chris “Buzz” O’Neil is a Build & Scale CTO: a hands-on technical executive who takes high-growth ventures from architectural concept to shipped product to market-compounding platform. With over 20 years of experience owning technical vision, engineering P&L, and corporate strategy simultaneously, he is the CTO you bring in when building the right system and scaling the right business are the same mandate.
He is currently CTO at EverBetter, architecting a multi-tenant, agentic AI-augmented EMR platform built on clinical digital twins, FHIR-RDF semantic data models, and Model Context Protocol infrastructure — a system designed to scale across providers without re-platforming.
Early in his career, Chris built systems with zero margin for error, including nuclear weapons development, which established the engineering discipline he has applied across every domain since. He went on to lead high-growth ventures through the full 0-to-1-to-scale arc: a retail app with over 16 million installs, a FinTech platform with more than one million users, an advertising platform serving over 1,000 publishers, and a NASDAQ-listed SaaS company whose valuation grew from $25M to $120M during his tenure.
With 25+ patents and multiple industry awards for technical innovation, Chris combines deep systems thinking with the business acumen to translate AI capability into P&L outcomes. His current focus is agentic AI architecture: designing systems where AI agents collaborate, reason over domain-specific knowledge graphs, and deliver measurable operational results.
